How much does Moneypenny cost?
Moneypenny's AI Receptionist page says you can get started from £49 a month, and that its pricing is built around what you need, so the next step is to talk to them for a quote.
For its telephone answering service, answered by its own receptionists, Moneypenny says pricing is flexible and based on your call volumes and hours of coverage, with a quote for each business. Its smaller answering schemes, of 150 minutes a month and below, have a minimum contract of three months, then one month's notice. Larger schemes need a six or twelve month commitment.
Moneypenny does not publish a full price list for either service, so the only way to know your price is to ask them. Tilly's plans are £29, £59 and £149 a month, with 40, 150 and 400 calls included, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no card needed. Our guide to what an AI receptionist costs in the UK puts these prices next to other AI receptionists, human answering services and a salaried receptionist.
What Moneypenny's AI receptionist does
Moneypenny says its AI receptionist is trained on over 200 million real business calls, answers 24/7, takes messages, books appointments and qualifies leads, and hands a call to one of its live receptionists, or to your own team, when the call needs a person. A Solutions Architect builds its knowledge base with you during onboarding, and Moneypenny says most clients are live within a few days. You choose from its voices, or have it clone your own.
Its telephone answering service is answered by UK-based receptionists. As standard that service runs from 8.30am to 6pm, with evening, weekend and 24/7 cover available if you ask them.
Where Tilly is different
- Prices you can see. Three plans with the calls included, and a set price for each extra call. Nothing is by quote.
- Set up yourself, today. Choose a plan, tell her about your business and forward your calls. She can be answering calls within minutes, and you can change anything in plain English.
- AI only, honestly. There are no live receptionists behind Tilly. She never claims to be a person, and when a call needs one she puts it through to you or your team, under transfer rules you set.
- Voices for your area. 29 voices in 9 British and regional accents, including native Welsh speakers. See natural voices.
- Every call written up. A summary and transcript of every call, an email for every message and booking, and a text for urgent ones on Pro and Business.
Which should you choose?
If you want a person to pick up when a caller needs one, Moneypenny's live receptionists are something Tilly does not offer. If you want an AI receptionist with a published price that you can try free and set up yourself in minutes, Tilly is built for that. You can hear Tilly answer a call before you decide.
