Locked out callers ring until someone answers
Someone who is locked out rarely leaves a voicemail. They go back to the search results and ring the next locksmith, and the one after that, until somebody picks up. If you are halfway through fitting a lock or driving to a job, that caller is gone. Tilly answers every call in your business name, day and night, so the person on the doorstep gets an answer from you, not from the next name on the list.
Lock-outs are urgent from the start
- "Locked out" is one of the urgent words in our trades set-up, so those calls are flagged urgent straight away, and urgent messages are texted to you on Pro and Business.
- Set a transfer rule, such as "the caller is locked out now", and she tells the caller she is putting them through, then connects them to your mobile. Starter includes one transfer rule, Pro three and Business ten.
- Add your own questions in plain English, such as whether anyone is locked inside, and she asks them on every lock-out call.
Night calls
Lock-outs do not keep office hours. Choose what she does when you are closed: answer questions and take a message, take a message only, or follow your transfer rules as normal, so a lock-out at midnight still reaches you if you want it to. Callers who ring off before anyone could help can get one text inviting them to call back, with missed-call text back.
Lock changes, upgrades and other jobs
Not every call is an emergency. For lock changes after a move, upgrades for insurance, uPVC door mechanisms, safes and garage doors, she takes what the job is, the address, how soon they need it and the best time to call back, and emails it to you. She never quotes a price you have not listed, including your call-out charge.
Covering your area
When a caller gives a postcode, she checks where it is and how far it is from your base, and answers from the areas you cover, so you are not sent across the county for a job outside your patch.
Put the same on your Google Business Profile: the areas you cover, and every job you do with a line on what it involves. Here is how to add services to your Google Business Profile.
Built on our trades set-up
